The waterline to the school has burst due to the extreme cold weather conditions. Our district facility team has been working extensively to locate the necessary materials to repair the pipe; however none are available locally and therefore must be ordered. 

Lochside Elementary and LASP Portables will be closed to students on Monday January 15 and Tuesday January 16 due to no water access on the property. 

The building is not acceptable for students as per health and safety regulations. 

We anticipate the school to reopen on Wednesday January the 17th; but we will need to assess the situation further Wednesday morning.

Please plan for potential school closure on Wednesday the 17th.
